Morgan's Great Summer Raid of July 1863 Through Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio.
Morgan left Burkesvill on the Cumbland River on July 2, 1863 and was captured ten miles from the Pennsylvania border on July 26. While given little significance in the overall history of the Civil War, it was regarded as a major event the route he traveled.
